Liturgical Music

Children's Choir:  The Children's Choir is open for any child/youth from K-8th Grade.  It meets in the music room on Sunday's from 9:20 -9:45.  They will be singing once a month during the year, and will be doing the Christmas Eve Children's Mass at 5pm.  There will be a couple extra Saturday rehearsals December for preparing Christmas music.

Chime Choir:  The Chime Choir is open to Children 5th Grade - Adults.  No reading skill is needed but it is helpful.  It meets on Wednesday's from 6:30 -7:30.  It plays once a month and does special music for Christmas & Easter.  They will also be playing at the Ecumenical Service on November 22nd.

Adult Choir:  The Adult Choir is open for singers in high school -Adults.  They provide special music for Advent/Christmas & Lent /Easter, and other times during the year.  Singers are needed.   They meet on Wednesday's from 7:45-9:00pm.

Cantors:  Those with good vocal skill and dedication are encouraged to lead Mass at the various Mass times.  It requires song and psalm preparation, and practicing with the pianist before Mass begins. It is also expected that all cantors will help in some way with special music particularly during Christmas & Easter.

Instrumentalists:  Instrumentalists are encouraged to share their talent in playing with the choir, playing the hymns & liturgy during Mass, and providing special music during the year.

Special Programs and Events

Ecumenical Choir at the Ecumenical Service on November 22^nd with Christ Lutheran Church and Heath United Methodist Church.  Our Chime Choir will also provide special music.

Music Concert:  There will be a Christmas Concert on Sunday, December 12th at 2:00pm.  It will be a combination of all the choirs at St. Leonard Church, and many of parishioner John Sheets string students playing festive Christmas music.
